-
No three in a row
The only rule constraint is that three identical symbols may not appear consecutively in any row or column. Use this to force placements: two adjacent 0s → the neighbors must be 1s.
-
Balance rows and columns
Each row and column must have exactly equal numbers of 0s and 1s. When half the cells in a line are filled with one symbol, all remaining cells get the other symbol.
-
No duplicate rows or columns
All completed rows must be unique, and all completed columns must be unique. If a row is nearly complete and would duplicate an existing full row, adjust the remaining cells.
-
Solve by pairs
Two adjacent identical symbols force both neighbors to be the opposite symbol. Two same-symbol cells with one gap force the gap to be the opposite symbol too.
Put It Into Practice
The best way to improve is to play regularly. Start with an easy puzzle and apply these techniques one at a time.
