About Pipes

Pipes (also called Plumber or Net) is a rotation puzzle where you arrange pipe segments to form a complete network. Each cell contains a pipe piece — a straight, elbow, T-junction, or cross — that you rotate freely. The goal is to find the orientation for every piece so that no pipe ends in a dead end and the entire network flows without breaks.

The puzzle appears deceptively easy at first: just rotate pieces until they connect. But in practice, each rotation has ripple effects on neighboring cells, and finding the globally consistent arrangement requires careful logical deduction rather than trial and error.

Pipes puzzles are intuitively understood without reading instructions — the visual logic is immediate — but become genuinely challenging as the grid grows and the number of possible rotations multiplies. Corner cells and edge cells are always the best starting points, since the grid boundary severely limits their valid orientations.

The satisfying moment when the last piece snaps into place and water flows cleanly through the entire network is the hallmark of a well-designed Pipes puzzle.
