Each domino appears exactly once
The set of dominoes is the complete set for the given size — no domino is repeated or missing. If you place {3,5}, no other pair of cells can be {3,5}.

Find unique pairs first
If two adjacent cells have a number combination that doesn't appear anywhere else in the grid, that pair must be a domino. Place it immediately.

Eliminate placed dominoes
After placing each domino, cross off that value pair from all other adjacent pairs in the grid. This eliminates candidates rapidly.

Keep a mental or visual checklist of which dominoes remain unplaced. When only one position in the grid can fit a remaining domino, place it.
