How to Play Hashi
Connect numbered islands with bridges so every island has exactly the right number of connections and all islands form one group. Also known as Hashiwokakero.
Try it now — Easy 10x10 →The Rules
- Draw bridges horizontally or vertically between numbered islands
- Each island must have exactly as many bridge connections as its number
- Bridges may not cross each other or pass through an island
- All islands must be connected into a single group by the end
Available in 3 sizes (7x7, 10x10, 14x14) and 3 difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard).
See It in Action
Click between islands to draw bridges — each island needs exactly its number of connections
How to Play
- Find islands with large numbers in corners or near borders — they have fewer neighbour options and are most constrained
- Connect islands that can only reach each other with the required number of bridges
- Add double bridges where required: two bridges can connect the same pair of islands
- Ensure all islands are connected — no isolated clusters are allowed
Pro Tips
An island numbered "1" can only have one bridge — its direction is limited by available neighbours
Corner and edge islands have fewer neighbours, making them easier to resolve first
Avoid creating a fully connected sub-cluster while other islands are still disconnected — it traps you
