Place one L, I, T, or S tetromino per region
Each region gets exactly one tetromino (a shape made of 4 connected cells). The cells of the tetromino are shaded; the rest of the region is white.

Same-shaped tetrominoes cannot touch
Two tetrominoes of the same shape (even in different orientations/reflections) may not be orthogonally adjacent. Use this to eliminate placements.

No 2×2 shaded blocks
Shaded cells may never form a 2×2 square, regardless of which regions they belong to. This limits tetromino placement near corners and edges.

All shaded cells must connect
The shaded tetrominoes across all regions must form a single connected group. Isolated tetrominoes are invalid — choose placements that link to the connected shaded area.
