How to Play Minesweeper
Uncover safe cells on the minefield grid. Numbers tell you how many mines are in adjacent cells. Flag the mines without triggering any.
Try it now — Easy 9x9 →The Rules
- Click to reveal a cell — if it's a mine, the game ends
- Numbers show how many of the 8 surrounding cells contain mines
- A blank reveal (no number) means zero mines nearby — adjacent cells auto-expand
- Right-click or long-press to flag a cell you believe contains a mine
Available in 3 sizes (9x9, 16x16, 16x30) and 3 difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard).
See It in Action
Click to reveal cells — numbers show nearby mine count; right-click to flag a mine
How to Play
- Right-click known mines to flag them before clicking cells adjacent to them
- When a number's mine count matches its surrounding flags, safely click all remaining covered neighbours
- Use the "1-2" pattern near edges: a "1" adjacent to a "2" near a border reveals mine locations
- Combine information from multiple numbers to isolate mine positions through logic
Pro Tips
Reveal a corner or edge cell first — they have fewer neighbours and often cascade into large safe areas
If a numbered cell already has all its mines flagged, every other covered neighbour is safe to click
Count remaining mines vs. remaining covered cells in a constrained area to force a deduction
