-
Every region is half shaded
Each region must contain exactly 2 shaded cells, and those 2 cells must be orthogonally adjacent (they form a domino). The rest of the region is unshaded.
-
Shaded dominoes across regions must pair up
Every shaded cell must be part of a domino that spans exactly 2 cells — and those 2 cells can be in different regions. The global pairing must be consistent.
-
No 2×2 shaded blocks
Shaded cells may never form a 2×2 square. Use this to eliminate conflicting placements in dense areas.
-
Start with single-option regions
Regions that have only one or two possible domino placements are the easiest starting points. Determine them first to free up neighboring regions.
Put It Into Practice
The best way to improve is to play regularly. Start with an easy puzzle and apply these techniques one at a time.
