The Rules

Available in 3 sizes (6x6, 8x8, 10x10) and 3 difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard).

See It in Action

Place one tent next to each tree — tents cannot touch, edge numbers count per row and column

How to Play

  1. Mark rows and columns with a clue of 0 — no tents go in those lines
  2. If a tree has only one available adjacent cell, the tent must go there
  3. After placing a tent, eliminate all 8 surrounding cells from further tent placements
  4. Use the row and column counts to identify lines where all remaining empty cells must have tents

Pro Tips

Trees in corners and along borders have fewer valid tent positions — start with those

If placing a tent would make another tent diagonally adjacent, that placement is invalid

Count unpaired trees vs. remaining tent slots: if they match exactly, those slots are all tents

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you play Tents?

Place one tent adjacent (not diagonal) to each tree. Tents cannot touch each other, even diagonally. Numbers on the edges show how many tents are in that row or column.
